Director of Clinical Research in Symptom Intervention

Dr. Eric Roeland is Director of Clinical Research in Symptom Intervention and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at UC San Diego Health. He received his MD from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his residency and a fellowship at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Roeland’s clinical expertise is in palliative medicine for cancer patients.

He’s committed to searching for more effective solutions to improve the quality of life for cancer patients struggling with advanced disease. Dr. Roeland’s current research primarily focuses on symptom intervention clinical trials across the entire cancer spectrum. His goal is to bring a new standard of cancer care of simultaneous integrated palliation and oncology.
